McDonnell ADM-20 Quail

The Quail was a decoy missile launched from a B-52 Stratofortress over hostile territory to confuse enemy defenses. When released to fly under the power of its own turbojet engine, the Quail appeared on defensive radar screens as another B-52.

The Quail first flew in 1957.
