The Aircraft

In 1938 Piper introduced the J-4 Cub Coupe.  Derived from the J-3 Cub, the J-4 had a wider fuselage to allow side-by-side seating.  The J-4 also introduced hydraulic brakes.

The Cub Coupe sold well with about 1,200 produced; however, production ended when the US entered World War II.
