Oleg Antonov
was a designer within the Yakovlev design bureau before establishing
his own design bureau shortly after the Great Patriotic
War. The Antonov bureau specializes in transport
aircraft including the An-225 Mriya. With a maximum takeoff
weight of 1,322,000 lbs (600,000 kg) the Mriya is the world's largest
aircraft.
Antonov has been a Ukrainian company since 1991. |
