Eurocopter AS 350 Ecureuil

The Ecureuil (or Squirrel) is Europe's most successful helicopter.  Initially developed by Aerospatiale, the AS 350 first flew in 1974.  The AS 350 is marketed in the United States as the AStar or SuperStar.

A twin-engine version, the AS 355 Ecureuil 2, first flew in 1979.  This helicopter is marketed in the United States as the TwinStar.  Over 2,700 of all versions had been built by the end of 1998.
