BMW 801
The Engine  Specifications
 
The BMW 801 was first run in 1938 and went into production in 1940.  Its 14 cylinders were arranged in two rows of seven cylinders.  The 801 was fuel injected and had a control unit that gave the pilot automatic, single-lever control of the engine.
