Model Military Number Name
1955 FO.141   Gnat
Folland Aircraft is probably best known for its post-war light jet fighter aircraft.  The company was another victim of the government enforced mergers in the early 1960's.

History

1936: British Marine Aircraft is formed to build the Sikorsky S-42 flying boat under license.

1937: The company reorganizes under H.P. Folland of Gloster Aircraft and is renamed Folland Aircraft.

1940: Folland's first aircraft, the FO.108, is designed as an engine testbed.

1960: Folland is taken over by Hawker Siddeley as its Hamble Division.
