Panavia Aircraft
was created in 1969 by British Aircraft,
Messerschmitt-Bölkow and Societa per Azioni Fiat to develop an
all-weather multi-purpose combat aircraft. Around 1,000 of the
resulting Tornado aircraft were built.
The success of Panavia has provided a model for
other European aircraft consortiums. |
