Fokker D.VII

Designed
by Reinhold Platz, the Fokker D.VII was arguably the
best fighter of World War I. First flown in 1918, the D.VII
was the only airplane singled out in the Treaty of Versailles for
confiscation or destruction at the end of the war.
Fokker D.VIIs were used by several allied air
services after the war and influenced fighter design well into the
1920s. |
